Michelle McGaw is running to be the next State Representative for District 71 because we deserve a government that works for us.
Michelle McGaw stands up for the issues that affect Rhode Islanders, and has a long track record of working hard for our community. That’s why we can count on her to stand up for us at the State House. Michelle has lived in Portsmouth, RI for nearly 30 years raising a family, volunteering, and working as a pharmacist in elder care. Michelle is a member of the Portsmouth Democratic Town Committee, the Portsmouth Solid Waste and Recycling Committee, and the Portsmouth Charter Review Committee. She serves on the board for the RI Democratic Women’s caucus and co-founded the Portsmouth Trash Collaborative, which started a bidding war among vendors to bring curbside pickup to over 300 households at a competitive price. Michelle was involved in youth recreation and local little league baseball for many years. Michelle has been active at the Rhode Island State House advocating for better climate policy, protection of reproductive rights, improvements to healthcare and for increased participation in our state government. On November 3rd, let’s send a new voice to the RI State House! |
